Caitlin Stanton
Perhaps improbably, it is a quote from a physicist that inspires my work: “We shape the world by the questions we ask.” I love working with changemakers to determine the questions they want to ask about the change they want to see, how change happens, and what can be learned along the way. Changemakers, understandably, are often busy people, rarely finding time to invest in reflection and learning. I love helping them give this gift of time and learning to themselves and their organizations, and watching how their work strengthens and becomes more impactful as a result.
At Informing Change, I lead teams that support learning, strategy development, or applied research goals. My perspective is informed by work in cross-border and community philanthropy, as well as in gender justice and human rights movements. I have also completed training in Emergent Learning and bring those principles and practices to my projects.
My work is also motivated by my children, and the world I’d like to see for them. Outside of the office, you can find me getting bested by kids in a game of basketball or going for a walk on our beautiful East Bay trails.
