Caitlin Stanton
Perhaps improbably, it is a quote from a physicist that inspires my work: “we shape the world by the questions we ask.” I love working with changemakers to determine the questions they want to ask about the change they want to see, how change happens, and what can be learned along the way. Changemakers, understandably, are often busy people, rarely getting a moment to invest in the work of reflection and learning. I love to help them give this gift of time and learning to themselves and their organizations and to watch how their work strengthens and becomes more impactful as a result.
At Informing Change, I develop proposals and work with our clients and prospective clients to craft project plans that support their learning, strategy development, or applied research goals. My perspective is informed by nearly two decades of fund and partnership development work and grant portfolio evaluation within cross-border and community philanthropy and in gender justice and human rights movements.
My work is also motivated by my children, and the world I’d like to see for them. Outside of the office, you can find me getting bested by kids in a game of tetherball or going for a walk on our beautiful East Bay trails.
