We live our values. We value each other. This is our culture.

Who We Are

The pursuit of our company values – curiosity, integrity, compassion, and social justice – guides everything we do. These are our explicitly stated values, and every day we live them through the work we do and the way we do it. Implicit in our culture are the ways we value each other: we take care of one another and ourselves, we celebrate our successes, and we challenge each others’ ideas and thinking.

As analysts, teachers, writers, advocates, and scientists, we all have roots in different places. In our team-based structure, we use one another’s different perspectives to learn from one another and see the world—and the problems our clients are trying to solve—more clearly. While we find strength in these differences, we rally around what unites us (including but not limited to love for furry, scaly, and human babies; matching outfits; Bay Area sports teams; book clubs; happy hours; and corny jokes), namely: our commitment to using learning and reflection to make our communities healthier and more equitable. If this commitment drives you, too, you’d fit right in.

Who You Are

The pursuit of our four core company values—curiosity, integrity, compassion, and social justice—guide every facet of our work; these values, and the following competencies, are the essential elements we seek in all of our candidates:

  • Sharp critical thinking balanced with the ingenuity, judgement and initiative to solve problems
  • Curiosity that propels ongoing learning and reflection
  • Articulate written and verbal communication
  • Earnest and internally-driven motivation
  • Strong time and project management
  • Superior organizational skills and steadfast attention to detail
  • A good-hearted sense of humor
  • Commitment to performing highest quality work to meet client needs
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to a thriving and growing firm

The Process

During the hiring process, we recognize that you’re learning about us as much as we’re learning about you. Throughout the different stages—which may consist of phone or video interviews, on-site interviews with different groups of staff members, and skills assessments—we encourage candidates to ask us questions and explore the work, people and culture at Informing Change.

We are an equal opportunity employer.

At Informing Change, one of our core values is a commitment to social justice. We seek to reflect this value in all aspects of how we operate, including who and how we hire. We are committed to hiring and retaining a diverse staff inclusive of people of color with a variety of lived experiences. We believe that diversity greatly elevates our ability to bring integrity, quality, creativity, and empathy to our work. We recognize the ways multiple identities intersect in contextually unique experiences of oppression and privilege, and we value how these intersections inform individuals’ expertise. We are looking for team members who are committed to joining us on our journey toward embracing and embodying racial and intersectional equity.

As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we support affirmative action and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, creed, religion, sexual or gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or any other legally protected characteristic. We strongly encourage persons from all backgrounds to apply.
