Amy Chu

(she/her)
Research Assistant

Throughout my life, I have centered my work on researching with compassion, supporting individuals, and co-creating effective solutions. To enact meaningful change, I believe inclusion and social progress come from sharing authentic conversations, strengthening support systems and accessibility, and centering community expertise. Complex problems aren’t solved in silos but through collaboration, interdisciplinary thinking, historically informed ideas, and reimagination.

My experiences as a researcher, consultant, and engagement coordinator have immersed me in the intersectional realm of housing, sustainability, digital equity and access, and transformative justice for cities. I am proud to call the Bay Area my home, where I have been actively involved in research and outreach through my work and studies. My experience in community engagement, particularly with community-led equitable policy creation and on-the-ground outreach, has taught me the value of listening with compassion to learn.

I am inspired by Informing Change’s commitment to equity-centered work through curiosity, compassion, and the pursuit of social justice. As a Research Assistant on the team, I bring a dedication to restorative interpersonal relationships, community engagement, and data-driven solutions.

In my personal time, I enjoy writing poetry, creating music, running, and enjoying my local parks.
