Rose Community Foundation – Denver/Boulder Jewish Teen Initiative
In an effort to increase the proportion of teens who are involved in relevant and meaningful Jewish life in the greater Denver/Boulder area, Rose Community Foundation is launching a multi-faceted community-based Jewish Teen Education and Engagement Initiative (the Initiative). The Initiative includes scaling select existing innovative programs, developing a teen micro-granting fellowship, and launching a new effort to coordinate activities for teens in Boulder. In addition, the Initiative is championing local teen education professionals to enhance their skills and increase networking, advocacy and data collection on behalf of Jewish teens. The Jim Joseph Foundation is co-funding this work as part of a larger, ten-community effort to experiment with new approaches for engaging teens in Jewish learning and growth.
Rose Community Foundation commissioned Informing Change to conduct a formative and summative evaluation of the Initiative, investigating both grantee-specific and community-wide outcomes, and coordinating with evaluators conducting a meta-analysis across the ten co-funded communities.
